Decisions Decisions Part 2

Apparently Dr Krauthammer shares some of the same optimism I wrote about earlier this week...

...in 2007 we have, by any reasonable historical standard, a fine Republican
field: One of the great big-city mayors of the last century; a former governor of extraordinary executive talent; a war hero, highly principled and deeply schooled in national security; and a former senator with impeccable conservative credentials.
Relax, Republicans, It's a Fine Field - Charles Krauthammer, Wash Post

He elaborates and is always worth a read...

Here's the deal, making the perfect the enemy of the good, as practiced by self proclaimed Republican purists, tends to denigrate the entire field, which the mainstream media is all too willing to trump up and pile on.  Worse, it is easily misunderstood, and then perpetuated as, widespread disaffection.  This all sets up a self fulfilling prophecy that the mainstream media and their political subsidiary the Democrats, is all too willing, and unfortunately, able, to make come true. But only if we let them.

Having too many good choices is what we call a high class problem.  And it is certainly not a problem facing the other side.
