Serial Flip Floppery In Lieu of Principle

Victor David Hansen has a typically brilliant analysis on the Democrat contortions resulting from the improvements in Iraq.  Of all the pundits out there, when it comes to war, none compare to Dr Hansen.  A tidbit...

Once you live by the daily polls, and mortgage lasting principle to transient popularity, then you become enslaved by them as well. So all eyes once again turn to the looking glass of Iraq.

The drama is not whether the Democrats once again will make the necessary political adjustments here at home just in time for an election — but whether it will work yet a third time.

That it worked twice already isn't all that comforting but there's always hope, and I don't mean Arkansas.

He chronicles the continual position redjustment of Democrats as they respond to the progress of the war and speculates as to how they might next respond to the now irrefutable good news.  At one point he suggests something I predicted over 2 years ago in a rant about Feingold; that when and if we do finally win this some Democrats will actually have the balls to take credit for it, since it all came about because of their relentless pressure on Bush.  Seriously, just wait and watch.

BTW It is long past due, after labor day and less than 2 weeks until the first absentee balloting in New Hampshire, so I am ready to make my endorsement.  Stay tuned.
