Don't get me wrong.  Having grown up right across the river from it I can assure you Iowa is a seemingly normal place, and makes the top 40 best states, barely, but really, is this the best they can do?

However, no 2 guys running could better represent the extremes of the country they are supposedly going to unite.  The uber social conservative and the uber neo lefty.  Perfect.  I truly shudder to think Iowa is representative of the whole country.

And about those evangelicals . . . thank you for making your priorities so blindingly clear.  Now there is no doubt that where you are concerned issues don't matter just so long your right with Jesus.  Dumbasses. 

I said it before and I'll say it gain, those so-called conservatives who are willing, nay eager, to replace the constitution with the new testamnet are neither conservative or patriotic.   

I don't think Huckabee can take the whole thing but I am fully prepared to let the independant in me vote with history for the first black president if he does.   What's the difference, we are screwed either way, and the damage wrought from a 4 years of Obama would probably be less than the utter destruction of the conservative movement Huckabee would bring.  

I have always questioned the wisdom of a strategy that promotes accepting immediate defeat for long term benefit, but a Huckabee/Obama choice in November presents a pretty compelling argument.
